Surgical Steel 316L Body Jewelry
Surgical Steel is the most commonly used metal in the production of body jewelry. This steel is one of the only approved steels as safe in the use of healing piercings. It is known as Marine Grade Stainless Steel. Its components reveal relatively good strength and corrosion resistance. Surgical Steel grade 316L does contains Nickel. Although Nickel is an active component in surgical steel, grade 316L does not release its alloys making it safe for allergy sufferers. This is noted due to the large amount of individuals that suffer from Nickel allergies, therefore, vigilance must be regarded.
